The Young and the Restless Spoilers Monday December 9: Elena Thinks Devon’s Obsessed With Amanda – Mariah and Summer Argue – Chance Receives An Offer

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, December 9th indicate that Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) thinks Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) is obsessed with Amanda Sinclair (Mishel Morgan), Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) gets into an argument with Summer Newman (Hunter King), and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) receives an offer.

Y&R Spoilers – Mariah Copeland and Summer Newman’s argument

Mariah arrives at Jabot with a gift for Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), but runs into Summer. When Mariah inquires about Kyle, Summer’s says he’s not there, but she’ll give Mariah’s gift to him. Mariah then brings up Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson), and Summer says that she and Theo broke up.

Mariah then voices her concerns about Summer going after Kyle. An angry Summer fires back that Mariah also insulted Kyle by saying he’d commit infidelity. Mariah then brings up how Summer used Theo to make Kyle jealous. Summer responds by saying that she’s a human and has feelings, and her life isn’t a show for entertainment.

Young and The Restless Spoilers – Chance Chancellor’s offer

At the Grand Phoenix, Chance is reeling from discovering the stolen jewels in Abby Newman’s (Melissa Ordway) bag. Abby swears her innocence and that she’s not a thief. She then takes one of the jewels and crushes it to show it’s fake. She then confesses that this was a scam, a way to get Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) fired.

Chance can’t believe Abby concocted the scheme, and she says she hates involving him in it, but he helped get her the evidence she needs to fire Phyllis. Chance says she could get into trouble for filing a false police report, but she states she never called them. She offers to make it up to Chance, then he explains he suspected her of the scam all along. Abby says they make a great team and offers Chance the job as head of hotel security, and he says he’ll think about the offer.

Y&R Spoilers – Devon Hamilton obsessed with Amanda Sinclair

At Society, Amanda is working on her laptop but shuts it down when Devon comes over. Devon says he knows Amanda is hiding something and will hire a private investigator to find out what it is. Elena comes in as Devon tears into Amanda for stealing his money, and Amanda denies knowing where it is. Amanda then threatens to file a restraining order against Devon. She then orders Devon to leave because she has a meeting. Devon spots Elena, who rushes out of the restaurant and he goes after her.

Devon arrives at Crimson Lights to find an upset Elena. She’s upset that he lied to her, she thought he was at work, instead, he was with Amanda. Devon says he’s angry that Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers) took his money because Devon was going to use it to help other people. Devon doesn’t know why Elena wants him to get over it. Elena says that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) made a good point when he said she was being too hard on Amanda. Elena then asks Devon if he’s attracted to Amanda.

Devon denies being attracted to Amanda, then Elena concludes if he’s not attracted to her, then he’s obsessed. Devon says Amanda is not like Hilary, then wonders if Elena is using this a way to get out of their relationship. Elena responds she’s not the one pulling away, he is. Elena gives Devon an ultimatum. He has to decide if he wants her or if he wants to hold on to his past anger.

Later Elena leaves, and Mariah comes in to see that Devon’s upset. The two chat and Devon talks about the scam and how he can’t let it got that Amanda looks like Hilary. Mariah agrees with him about Amanda, then encourages him to fix things with Elena.

Elena goes back to Society and apologizes to Amanda for being unfair to her. Amanda accepts her apology. Elena then asks if the two of them could get a fresh start, and Amanda agrees to it. Elena senses something’s bothering Amanda, and Amanda responds that she’s tying up loose ends back at home. As Elena’s leaving, she bumps into Devon. She says that she and Amanda had a nice, civil conversation, something Devon needs to do.

Later Amanda is relieved to find the tracker is still on.

The Young and The Restless Phyllis Summers’ case

Phyllis arrives at Society to talk with Amanda about her wrongful dismissal from the Grand Phoenix. Amanda tells Phyllis that it’ll be a tough fight and it could possibly take years before anything’s settled. Phyllis says her co-workers have been out to get her from day one. Amanda is reluctant to take the case because it’s high-profile, and Phyllis would attract a lot of attention. A frustrated Phyllis leaves, vowing to handle this herself. Afterward, Amanda phones someone saying he may have found and destroyed the tracker.

Phyllis arrives at Jabot as Summer’s finishing a call with Kyle. After hanging up, Summer and Phyllis chat. Phyllis tells Summer that she was fired and is trying to hire a lawyer. She goes on about how she’s a good person and doesn’t deserve this, but Summer brings up Phyllis’ past mistakes.

Summer says this in a joking manner, but it has Phyllis getting emotional. Summer brings up how she worries how others view her mother. Phyllis says she doesn’t have an easy life because she wasn’t born an Abbott or Newman. Phyllis has to deal with what life throws at her. The two then chat about Kyle and Phyllis says she knows Summer still has feelings for him. But Summer insists she just wants a working relationship with Kyle.
