Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that Nick offered his oldest son a job with his company, New Hope, and Noah had told his father he wanted to think it over first. Noah had been working on an album cover for his ex-girlfriend Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) at the time, but now that it is finished and Tessa’s new album is released, he takes Nick up on his offer.

Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that Noah’s mother, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) who is about as a perceptive mother as they come, has been worried about Noah’s demeanor and the real reasons why he left a lucrative career in London. Noah has only hinted at a relationship gone bad and needing to get away from the situation and the memories, which he really only spoke to Tessa about at Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) wedding in Italy.

Y&R Spoilers – Noah Newman Decided To Move Back After The Skyle Wedding

Viewers of The Young and The Restless will remember that Noah decided to move back after the wedding of Summer and Kyle, and showed up in Genoa City shortly thereafter, after reconnecting with Tessa there. Longtime viewers of The Young and The Restless will remember that Noah left Genoa City to begin with after another romance falling apart in his face – he was in love with Tessa and she came out with his half-sister Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes)!

Sharon, in addition to a mother’s instincts, also is a psychologist and picks up on psychological clues – she notices Noah casting some longing looks at Tessa when she sees him around her. She has talked with Nick about Noah’s reasons for leaving London and moving back home, which have been very vague, but she also talks to him about her observations of Noah when he’s around Tessa. Now that Tessa and Mariah are engaged, with a very public proposal in Society, Sharon’s really worried.

Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that Nick and Noah were at Crimson Lights when Noah took his father up on his job offer, and shortly thereafter Tessa had shown up. Tessa gifted Noah with a copy of the album Noah had designed the cover for and invited him to the launch party for the new release, and Noah had displayed a goofy grin of which Tessa was oblivious.

Sharon obviously picked up on all that body language, and later tells Nick that she’s concerned Noah never got over Tessa, and worries what will happen when Noah finds out about the engagement. Nick, not all that good at subterfuge, especially not when it comes to things like that, asks Noah straight out if he’s moved on, trying not to sound like a father who’s asking if his teenage son knocked up his girlfriend! Noah sets Nick straight on what’s really going on – there was no girlfriend in London, he just told Tessa there was to avoid awkwardness and it looks like Sharon was right – he’s in no way over Tessa!
