Matt Will Reveal He Feels A Unique Connection With Patty
In the May 18 episode, after Matt reaches out to Patty to talk, he will reveal that he feels a unique connection with her.
He’ll express that it’s as if they are two halves of the same whole and will empathize with Patty’s quest for redemption after her previous missteps.
Importantly, Matt will assure Patty that he doesn’t judge her, despite the extensive list of offenses that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has brought to light.
Unlike Phyllis and the rest of the residents of Genoa City, Matt isn’t deterred by the dark chapters of Patty’s history.

With his good looks and charm, it’s possible that Patty is starting to develop feelings for him; depending on what happens, Patty might just swap her fixation on Jack for an infatuation with Matt.
Patty Is Determined To Sway Matt Against Phyllis
Regardless, Patty is determined to sway Matt against Phyllis and promises to support him.
Even though Matt is uncertain about whom to trust due to his amnesia, Patty will reassure him that he can rely on her.
It appears that Patty will have an opportunity to demonstrate her loyalty when she comes to Matt’s aid later on.

Matt’s situation is about to take a dramatic turn, as he seems destined to find himself bound and gagged in his suite at the GCAC.
This could be part of Phyllis’ strategy to regain control, or perhaps one of Matt’s other adversaries will catch him off guard there.
Matt Will Be Held Captive Until Patty Rescues Him
Regardless, it looks like Matt will be held captive until Patty arrives to rescue him. With Marcy Goldman portraying a hotel maid who shares scenes with Matt and Patty in the May 21 episode of Y&R, she might be the one to let Patty into his room.
Patty could concoct a story about wanting to spice things up with her man to justify Matt’s restrained condition.
One way or another, Patty seems ready to step up for Matt and further solidify his trust after her heroic act; if Patty becomes infatuated with Matt, he should be cautious!
Despite her assertions of having changed, Patty can be quite dangerous, making it intriguing to see how the storyline unfolds from this point.
