Summer is also the person that Phyllis has destroyed the most with her schemes. Now, Phyllis might not be eager for a “Skyle” reunion. So, could Phyllis set Summer up with someone new?

Y&R spoilers reveal that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) came back from the dead in a controversial way. Even though Diane insists that she’s a changed woman, most people in Genoa City didn’t believe it.

Now that Diane has earned both Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) trust, the next to change her stance on the reformed villain is Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson).

After Diane saves Ashley’s life, there will be a truce. Now, the truce is between Ashley and Jack (apparently, it’s for real this time). However, there could also be a truce between Diane and Phyllis.

That doesn’t mean the women will work together to save “Skyle,” though.

Y&R Spoilers – Summer Newman’s Divorce

Fans have watched as Summer’s secrets and lies were finally exposed. Kyle was stunned to discover just how much and for how long Summer deceived him.

That led to Kyle initiating a separation. While Kyle did quickly move on with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), Summer desperately wanted her marriage back.

Eventually, Summer went to Kyle and said it was time to get a move on the divorce. So, now Summer is in a place of accepting that her marriage is over.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nick Newman’s Reunion Scheme

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) went to bat for Summer. Knowing how much Summer wanted her marriage back, Nick talked to Kyle about forgiveness. While it was a great attempt to reunite “Skyle,” it doesn’t sound like that will happen just yet.

Y&R Spoilers – Controversial Set-Up?

Since Nick already tried to reunite Summer and Kyle, it’s unlikely that Phyllis will do the same thing. In fact, Phyllis probably does the opposite.

While Nick is Team “Skyle,” Phyllis might secretly be relieved that her daughter’s marriage is over. While Phyllis’ vengeance was targeted toward Diane, she always knew that Kyle wasn’t her biggest fan.

So, Phyllis could seize the opportunity to make everything all better by finding Summer a new love.

With Summer leaning on Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), could Phyllis get an idea? Knowing Phyllis, it won’t matter if Chance is involved with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) or anyone else. It would be just like Phyllis to deceive both Summer and Chance.

Perhaps Phyllis sets them up on a blind date in a sneaky way. Phyllis might leave Summer to believe that she’s having dinner with her while Chance might assume he’s dining with Sharon.

That not only leaves Chance and Summer in an awkward position, but what if Sharon spots the two together?

This is exactly why Phyllis’ good-intentioned matchmaking attempt could backfire. In addition to that, Phyllis could spark Summer’s new feud and rivalry.
