The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) are mortal enemies. However, they are also a lot more alike than either of them care to admit. In cases like this in soaps, many times the characters turn out to be related. Could we be gearing up for a mother/daughter bombshell?

Y&R spoilers reveal that Stafford recently explained to Soap Opera Digest why Phyllis is pushing so hard to get Sally out of Genoa City. Phyllis has plenty of enemies but Sally seems to be the only one she’s trying to get rid of. Some fans think it’s all about Sally’s war with Summer Newman (Hunter King). However, Stafford said that Phyllis sees a younger version of herself when she looks at Sally.
Y&R Spoilers – So Much Alike
Sally’s scheming isn’t the only similarity between the two women. They have similar coloring and features. They also have similar ways that they go about getting what they want. If they put aside their issues with one another, they would see just how alike they are. There is a theory that there is a reason why Sally and Phyllis are so much alike. It is teased that the reason is also connected to why Phyllis and Sally are being pitted against each other so fiercely.

How many times in soaps have warring characters found out they were actually genetically connected? It’s happened quite often and we can’t help but wonder if Sally and Phyllis also share a secret connection.

Y&R Spoilers – Mother/Daughter Bombshell?
Right now, most people in Genoa City are furious with Sally. At some point, she will either have to be redeemed or something will need to connect her to at least one other person in town. There is reason to believe that Sally and Summer could be half-sisters, and Phyllis could gain another daughter. It would explain why Phyllis sees so much of herself in Sally and will give these characters a chance to put their issues aside.
The question is if Sally really is Phyllis’ daughter, then what is the backstory? Will the soap rewrite history in order for it to make sense? We will have to keep watching the CBS soap to find out what happens next with these characters.

What is with these writers???????????? Phyllis & Sally, mother & daughter? Come on! She would have to be older than Daniel who is supposed to be Phyllis's first born, & Daniel should be in his early 40's since he was 16 or 17 when Cassie died. Summer was conceived after Cassie died, & she is in her mid to late 20's. Ridiculous storyline!

There not relayed phillis now far more that sally please don't make that a storyline finish what you got going on why can't you recast chance if he not coming back why can't abby have a real on love even if don't let stich still her away l would rather her and devon raise the baby is stich relayed to Tessa Victoria needs stop hovering over Ashland and Billy needs to go some where so sick of Billy never like his character didn't understand why y'all paired him and lily up let alone Victoria and phillis she's not my favorite character either. When is Shelia coming to this storyline you bought every body else back were phillip Nina son why did you bring flo back she's just a place holder l wouldn't hire her to walk a dog
Might as well,,everything on this show is far fetched and some just boring..Hillary was cloned by Dr Nevells and came back as Amanda the lawyer. Sally and phyliss related would fit in as theo and kyle were cousins or whatever…Rather not go there but could see it happening.
Why does whoever write or run this show have this constant need for everyone to be someone's long lost relative. It's desire for nepotism and borderline incestuous relationships is unhealthy. Fans don't need every character to be related. The stories are far more interesting with totally new unrelated characters. Ashland's character has been the best assets to the show this year. He has brought a fresh love interest for Victoria, giving some much needed invigorating energy to her character and her stories. He's a new and refreshing conundrum for Victor, Billy and even Nick. We don't need Sally and Phyllis to be related, in fact we don't need two of the same sort of character one loudmouth, untrustworthy redhead is enough. Replace one with a fresh new unrelated character who can bring something new and exciting to the show like Ashland.
Understand what you are saying and agree with you. Do not add to Phyllis story line. If anything write less for her and eventually not at all. Really do not care for this character and she is the only one that is seen more than anyone else. Enough of her.
Story line is ridiculous. give someone else a good story line and let Phyllis go.
Exactly, I'm no fan of Phyllis. I've watched ordinary everyday school plays where children have more acting talent. She can't act, hearing her limited repertoire is like listening and watching nails on a chalkboard. Her character was really exhausted when she left a few years ago saying "I feel I've done all I can do with Phyllis". Whoever brought her back must be a friend of her or her mother's because it can't be based on talent. Some of these characters, even the really good ones should be acknowledged by the writers when the character has come to it's natural end. Better for the characters, actors and most importantly the show and it's fans to accept a character is finished and move on to something fresh and new. Sometimes it feels like the people who run this show are more interested in giving certain people a paycheck both writers and actors rather than do a good job of entertaining the shows fans.
Y&R was so much better when Victor and Jack were working and at each other. Victor running Newman and Jack running his company. Hardly ever see Victor and Jack walks around frowning .
So they get rid of Summer Phyllis’s daughter to turn unwanted Sally into to possibly being Phyllis’ other daughter. Come on people can’t you leave well enough alone. Don’t need another daughter get rid of her and bring back Daughter #1 Summer and Kyle
Can’t you just get rid of Sally Spectra. She’s truly the biggest pain. We’ve already got Phyllis, we don’t need another. Find a better storyline.
