It all begins when newcomer and investigator Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) crashes a party that Nick throws to help kick off the launch of Dark Horse. This surely surprises everyone, as they didn’t see this coming. Rey reveals his true identity and that he was brought on to solve a case by the Genoa City Police Department. In other words, his mission has been to find out what happened to JT this entire time.

The Young and the Restless executive producer and head writer Mal Young told CBS Soaps in Depth, “He’s in town to investigate the mysterious disappearance of JT Hellstrom. Rey has ingratiated himself into all these different people and building up a case of, ‘Who knows where JT is?’ Rey thinks he’s missing and we wonder, is he going to arrest Victor, is he going to arrest Sharon, Victoria or Nikki? But the big twist at the end of the episode is, Rey arrests Nick.”

After that, the truth about JT’s disappearance will finally be revealed. Of course, fans will have to tune in to find out how!
