The Young and the Restless Spoilers Wednesday, August 15: Michael Confronts Phyllis - Summer Exposes Phyllis - Victor Taunts NickThe Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, August 15, 2018 reveal Michael (Christian LeBlanc) confronts Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) at the coffee house, warning her this isn’t going to be a friendly conversation.

Nick and Sharon Plan Wedding

Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) arrive on the rooftop, waiting to meet with their wedding coordinator, Randy. Summer (Hunter King) spots the intimate moment between the two, admitting to Kyle (Michael Mealor) that if she didn’t dislike the woman so much, she’d actually feel sorry for her after learning Nick cheated on her with her own mother, Phyllis.

Phyllis is surprised it has come to this, but Michael feels if she didn’t see this coming than Lauren is right to be concerned about her loyalty. Billy took on a secret project and she seems more than willing to have faith that this is a brilliant idea. Michael confronts her, asking if she is only backing him because she recently reconciled with Billy and is worried about upsetting him. She feels Billy’s boutiques are the new trend where Fenmore’s is “tried and true”, making them two completely different markets.

Michael Upset Phyllis Is Siding With Billy

Michael reveals that Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) told him Phyllis is siding with Billy (Jason Thompson), demanding how she could betray Lauren, as her friend and boss? She defends Billy’s actions, but Michael doesn’t care. He tells her if she was being objective she would see what is truly going on with Billy. Phyllis bites back, advising him to not fight his wife’s business battles. Michael informs her that he is speaking as Lauren’s attorney and she has a solid case that Billy is being negligent towards Fenmore’s, one of Jabot’s key partners, and breaching their contract.

Michael says the fact remains that Billy is out of control. Phyllis promises to talk to Billy and get the reassurance that Lauren’s business won’t be affected. Michael takes her at her word that she will start acting in the best interest of her REAL employer. Phyllis talks about him defending Lily (Christel Khalil). Despite his personal feelings, he doesn’t believe Lily should go to prison and wishes Devon could see past his grief. Phyllis stands firm, saying Devon is right and understands if he never lets this go. Michael questions her on whether Hilary (Mishael Morgan) would have wanted her death to leave this kind of legacy.

Kyle Tells Summer She Is Delusional

Kyle insists Summer is delusional, reminding her that Nick and Sharon are planning a wedding while Phyllis and Billy worked things out. She feels that doesn’t mean they should. Meanwhile, Nick and Sharon are interrupted by Victor (Eric Braeden), who is amazed Nick has time to plan such an elaborate wedding when trying to launch a new business.

Summer calls her mother a hypocrite, feeling Phyllis’ cheating is a thousand times worse than Billy hiding his gambling. Kyle wants to know what she is going to do with the explosive information. Nick has no interest in Victor’s views on what success really is, excusing himself and Sharon to say hello to his daughter, Summer.

Summer Tells Sharon & Nick She Is Amazed How Well They Get Along

Summer freaks Nick out, saying her and Kyle were talking about marriage, then quickly corrects herself, saying they were talking about the concept of marriage. She talks about the disillusion of marriage, asking what’s the big secret to Sharon and Nick’s relationship. They say it is love, honesty and forgiveness. Sharon admits her and Nick have been through a lot and that kind of history builds a bond. Sharon hopes this settles their debate and is thrilled Summer will be joining them. Summer blurts out that she wasn’t happy they were back together originally, but it amazes her how well they get along with her mother; saying it is rather inspiring.

Kyle Asks Summer If She Is Willing To Blow Up Her Father’s Life

Privately, Kyle wants to know if Summer is willing to blow up her dad’s live over one night, one mistake? She feels Nick needs to reevaluate, but Kyle thinks if the truth comes out, she is hoping it will leave Billy wide open to hop into the sack with her!

Kyle wants to know what Summer plans to do if her imaginary scenario works; what will she do when she gets bored. Kyle reminds her she did the exact same thing to him and maybe she should figure out her own stuff. Summer thinks Kyle simply wants her to give up on Billy and have sex with him; Kyle says he would be find with losing this bet as it would work out great for him, job-wise.

Victor and Nick Spar

Victor tells Nick he is being dishonest with himself if he thinks he can pick and choose the time to devote to his business. Nick promises, after watching Victor all these years, he is not going to let business run his life. Victor is disappointed Nick has turned his back on everything he has worked for to leave the legacy to his children and grandchildren. Nick states part of the reason he started Dark Horse is to erase the damage Victor has done to the Newman name and wants to give his children a company they can be proud of. Victor reminds him, he started the business by lying and stealing and pretending to be JT (Thad Luckinbill).

Nick is distracted, but quickly apologizes for Victor getting into his head. Sharon brings the food samplers into the private area on the patio, which Nick thinks is a great idea. Nick and Sharon enjoy feeding each other the samplers, having a romantic time together until Nick’s phone rings repeatedly. She reminds him people are relying on him and is off for some business.

Lily Asks Phyllis If She Hates her Like Devon

Phyllis arrives at HWG, finding Lily who reveals Devon is working form home because he can’t stand the sight of her and hates her; that Devon thinks she wanted Hilary dead. She wants to know if Phyllis thinks the same thing. Phyllis admits when Hilary died, she was enraged and wanted Lily to pay. Phyllis says Lily was an easy target for the rage. Lily feels it is her fault, as she was more intent on attacking Hilary than watching the road.

Lily Tells Phyllis She Could Go To Prison For 20 Years

Lily tells Phyllis the maximum sentence is 20 years. She is sure Devon really wants her to lose her family, just like him. Phyllis says the revenge he is feeling will only bring more heartache and unhappiness. She knows Lily is punishing herself more than any legal system could do. Phyllis came there with the intention of “putting Lily out” but that would only push more hate in the world that already has plenty. She hugs Lily before she leaves.

Michael Tells Lily Cane’s Australia Idea Is A Mistake

Michael comes to see Lily, not sugarcoating anything. He doesn’t think it is fair for her to spend years behind bars, but it really isn’t up to him. Lily reveals Cane planned to take them all to Australia to disappear. Michael says the idea is ridiculous as Devon has the money to find her and would Cane would face prison time. Michael suggests Cane should seek therapy and “get a grip!”

Summer Calls Phyllis Two-Faced and A Backstabber

Phyllis returns home, finding Summer at home. She tells Summer that Lauren plans to break her contract with Jabot, insisting they need to support Lauren and suggests they work together to get Billy to back down or he will have a nasty legal battle ahead. Summer confronts her mother on being two-faced and a backstabber.

Phyllis Calls Summer A Brat

Phyllis refuses to hear Summer’s hypocrisy, saying it is the person Summer has become that is causing problems with her and Billy; calling her an “irresponsible, attention-seeking brat!” Summer laughs, saying it is hilarious since this is exactly how Phyllis used to act!

Sharon Tells Victor He Cannot Use Her

Sharon runs into Victor, who understands that Nick wants to do things differently, but there are certain rules for big businesses that he can’t ignore. He says to be successful in big business, they have to eat it, live it, breath it, and sleep it. Sharon insists Victor cannot use her to play head games with Nick. He says he is impressed with Nick and wishes him the best.

He learns both Faith and Christian are doing really well, saying he missed moments with the children, but building a successful business makes you miss out on those things. As he leaves, he asks Sharon to kiss Christian from his grandfather and while she is at it, give him a kiss from his father. Sharon looks worried.

Michael Tells Lily She Should Be Worried

Lily is trying hard to be realistic as Michael says she should be worried. He says her pleading “guilty” has helped with Christine (Lauralee Bell) looking favorably on this. She may get a light sentence lose her license, face a fine, probation, community service and possibly being confined to her home, only being able to go to work and come home. He says if she doesn’t commit a crime nor attempt to leave the Genoa City, everything will remain on the table as a possibility. He advises her to use this time to get her affairs in order and prepare her family for the possibility of a massive upheaval.

Summer Tells Phyllis She knows What She Did and Who She Did It With

Summer and Phyllis continue to argue as Summer defends Billy, saying his impulses are one of his best qualities. Phyllis says those impulses make people do things they regret and she doesn’t want to see that for him. Summer taunts her, questioning Phyllis on why Billy felt he couldn’t be completely open and honest with her. Summer says Billy feels Phyllis has changed, insisting that her and Billy are fine. Summer confronts her on cheating on Billy, saying she knows what Phyllis did, when she did it and who she did it with!

    Sure wished Billy got the truth from Kyle about the night Phyllis spent with Nick. That would give Billy the thought that Kyle had his back, and Summer really did have his as well.
