Summer Newman (formerly Hunter King) had her sights set on Billy Abbott before. At the time, he was in the throes of his gambling addiction. It happened when he dated her mom Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) in 2018.

Her daughter returned to Genoa City after she gambled away her trust fund. Summer asked Billy for help, even though Phyllis was against it.

Phyllis watched him while he gambled. When she learned that he was embezzling his money, she turned to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to comfort her. Phyllis and Nick ended up sleeping together. Summer learned about their affair and used Billy to get revenge.

She made a bet with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) that she could seduce her mom’s boyfriend. It happened during a business trip.

Billy knew that Summer wouldn’t stop if he turned down her advances. Billy broke up with Phyllis and told Summer that they were able to be together. After they slept together for the last time, he entered rehab for his gambling addiction.

Summer waited for Billy’s return. When he didn’t come back, she wrote him a letter and he didn’t respond. He admitted that he wasn’t romantically interested in her. Billy only used her to get revenge against her parents. Billy turned down Summer in front of Phyllis, so she was aware of what happened.
