The Young and the Restless (YR) RUMOR: Incredible Y&R Shocker! – Nikki Revealed As Own Tormentor

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and others appear to have been tormented for months on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But what would be one of the greatest shocker’s in Y&R’s history actual reveals Nikki as her own tormentor.

Consider a guilty conscience inflicting punishment and mix in self-abuse, via alcohol as well. Yes, Nikki’s subconscious feelings seem to have evidenced themselves in a most unlikely way. Working in a dream-like state, Thomas Scott’s character had the ability to gaslight herself, which would also be a mega soapy head-fake.

It’s become clear, as the J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) Dies arc stretched from last spring through this winter, that whoever was poking Nikki’s mind had to have access to the Newman Ranch. Devoted fans know that ‘Niktor’s’ rustic estate has been porous in many past storylines, but having anyone repeatedly lance supposed security would surely be viewed as preposterous.

More recently, Victor (Eric Braeden) seems to have been framed for J.T.’s murder after his gun was found in the stables that someone set ablaze. So insider’s knowledge of the Ranch was critical both then, when J.T.’s bloodied shirt was found in bed with Nikki, and now that the poker was found placed at the foot of the Newman’s fireplace.

As viewers are being shown the new Ranch setting, which appears to be an extension off the smallish living room, thoughts of Nikki’s frenzied state set in. Her gut-spill to Nick (Joshua Morrow) and subsequent booze bottle empty down the sink poked longtime fan’s minds.

Consider the possibility that Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) hasn’t been orchestrating deeds beyond the embezzlement. Mackenzie (Kelly Kruger) didn’t learn about the death of her children’s father and then secretly go berserk. Heinous characters like Ian (Ray Wise), or Marco (Peter Bergman) are the bad apples this time. And even a Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) cross-back from ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ didn’t happen.

No, hiding in plain sight for all of these months was Nikki herself. Unbeknownst to the principal target, Nikki’s tortured desire to resolve matters turned her mind into its own tormentor. How the above scenario would play into believable criminal justice resolutions for all involved is yet to be known.
