The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal the sad news that Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott) has shared the news of her beautiful dog Charlotte’s passing. The Emmy winner shared her news on Instagram with a beautiful picture of Charlotte.

This is the tribute she posted about her beloved pet: “We had to send our LOVED DOGGO Charlotte off a couple days ago and we are all gutted. Loved our moomers beyond and so grateful for everything she brought to our lives. What a spirit. She fought to stay with us until her body gave out. Special thanks to #malibucoastanimalhospital Charlotte loved you.”

She posted a lovely picture of Charlotte and it’s clear she was a very special dog with her shaggy white fur, expressive eyes and her adorable tongue hanging out!

Eileen’s character Ashely Abbott has not been seen on a regular basis but that doesn’t mean she is forgotten! She was a pivotal player in the recent Alzheimer’s storyline involving Abbott family matriarch Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams).

The storyline won rave reviews for the realistic portrayal of how the family of an Alzheimer’s sufferer also suffers with the disease. Dina’s children were by her side when she died as she had been moved back into the family home after a period of estrangement.

The show portrayed her memory loss and how it affected her children. One by one she forgot who they were, and the pain was palpable for many viewers who have been in similar situations.

What will happen next for Ashley Abbott in Genoa City? That remains to be seen. What would Ashley have to say about her brother dating a much younger woman?
