The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Jack’s Warning Swatted Down – Phyllis and Nick Stick

Jack (Peter Bergman) couldn’t believe that Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) would jump back to Nick (Joshua Morrow) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. He has no problem sharing those feelings with this seemingly on-again pairing either.

With nearly zero time gap after the epic ‘Philly’ fail, the woman Jack still loves has opted to reconnect with Nick! Despite his emotional plea, both Phyllis and the other half of ‘Phick’ swat down Jack’s advice and plan to continue their enhanced connection indefinitely. Logic obviously isn’t driving this surprising couple’s developing revival.

Jack was fully open with Phyllis in the summer. He noted that bitterness regarding ‘Philly’ had evaporated and revived feelings for his one-time wife had returned. Phyllis was not open to Jack at that time, due to her ongoing love for his brother.

Months have passed since that exchange, which came during the time Y&R showed Jack and Phyllis together in various scenes, including during Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) celebration of life. But instead of the implied projection of ‘Phack’ returning, ‘Phick’ is apparently possible again.

Credit to Y&R for creating a two-path, believable scenario. It’s understandable that Phyllis and Nick would rebound back to each other, with whatever this edition of ‘Phick’ becomes, or doesn’t become.

A parallel track also sees Jack remaining close to Phyllis, thereby keeping him as a Plan B. Considering Nick’s uneven relationship path, a phrase that can surely be applied to many soapy personalities in Genoa City, ‘Phick’ could go nowhere, exist casually, or end up remarried. The same is true for the potential of ‘Phack’: The Next Chapter.

Sharon (Sharon Case) knows Nick like few others in GC. She knows that the connection her soul mate has with Phyllis has been able to be tapped because ‘Phick’ has a unique chemistry. Summer’s (Hunter King) presence was the first provable representation that Phyllis and Nick have a permanent bond.

As for Jack, he can not be counted out of the Phyllis equation for one main reason. With whatever Tognoni’s character has with Nick, in the past, now, or whenever, she loved Jack in a deeper way than anyone else. That factor keeps the potential of a ‘Phack’ revival alive, which is why Jack retains hope.
