The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Mia Takes Charge – Instant Personality In Genoa City

The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Mia Takes Charge – Instant Personality In Genoa CityViewers can’t blame Mia (Noemi Gonzalez) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. She’s trying to rescue her marriage and establish a new life in Genoa City. Y&R’s newest instant personality has quickly let it be known that she’s arrived.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Mia Has Arrived!

Sharon (Sharon Case) and Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) were extremely close to starting a romantic relationship. They probably would have if Mia hadn’t flown in from Miami. But Mrs. Rosales did and that changes everything, at least in the short-term.

Based on leading dialogue, it does appear that Mia and Arturo (Jason Canela) were involved in the past. Thus the marital split and resulting tension between the Rosales’ brothers. Rey’s hesitancy to fully reconcile with Mia makes sense with that assumption.

In the old soapy days a new character’s introduction would take awhile. As was seen with Mia, she would have been referenced in the weeks leading up to her debut, but then would have inched into various scenarios as the weeks and months passed.

In this case, mimicking supercharged reality, Mia sought Rey out, moved in, happened upon Lauren (Tracey Bregman) at Crimson Lights, where the sudden need for a makeup artist happened to exist, and she told Sharon to back off. All within two episodes. Well, how about that!

Y&R Spoilers: Mia Fights For Her Man

Gonzalez exudes a screen appeal that is charismatic, but also subtly vulnerable. Mia’s been all over Rey because she knows the future of their union isn’t certain. She recognized that Sharon may offer her husband something she can’t, a new start, and naturally became territorial. Whether Rey is able to be persuaded remains to be seen, as the Sharon option will likely persist.

Y&R’s engaging creation of the expanding Rosales family began with Arturo’s introduction, grew through Rey’s supplanting of Paul (Doug Davidson), Lola’s (Sasha Calle) bright addition, and now includes exuberant Mia. Her creation, along with the other new characters, creates varied storyline opportunities with many of the familiar faces that live in this fictional Wisconsin town.
