The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Mia’s Arrival Answers Question – Disupte Between Rey and Arturo Revealed

Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) invokes a childhood dispute this week on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But the real problem he and Arturo (Jason Canela) have with each other appears to be connected to Mia (Noemi Gonzalez). Arturo’s watch find, while proving to be helpful in Rey’s open case, also will prove to open information about both character’s backstories.

The latest new character, in a steady soapy stream that’s been flowing this year, is about to debut in Genoa City. Gonzalez’ place could be modest, or evolve into a deeper role. In either regard, Mia’s write-in seems to be directly linked to the unspoken, mutual grudge that is held by ‘Arturito’ (the nickname applied by Rey), and his older sibling.

Abby (Melissa Ordway) continues to see ongoing evidence of the tension that persists between the Rosales’ men. However, she, like Y&R’s audience, hasn’t yet been given enough information to know what, exactly, was the origin of her boyfriend and his brother’s fight.

The immediate future of ‘Abturo’s’ relationship will be tested if Abby learns that Arturo was inappropriately involved with Mia. However, even if that proves true, this couple seems likely to survive and endure. Plenty of plot work has been done to pair Ordway and Canela’s characters, Abby and Arturo fit well together, and neither has an alternative pairing option that would seem to be better than what currently exists.

Rey’s reference to Arturo taking what wasn’t his surely implies that a dispute based upon romantic competition is about to be revealed. That and Gonzalez’ imminent debut in coming days enables savvy daytime fans to put two and two together.

Seasoned soap fans know that continued dialogue mentions of an unseen character often telegraphs a building storyline. This particular plot point has allowed Rey to recently discuss his wife with Sharon (Sharon Case). The GC Police Department colleagues and potential romantic partners dance around each other for reasons that are mostly tied to the J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) case, which Arturo’s watch find greatly aides and the chemistry that could be built between Sharon and Rey.
