Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) now knows that his grandfather is a suspect on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Victor (Eric Braeden) has often been rightly accused of many things in Genoa City and across the free world. But Rey’s (Jordi Vilasuso) suspicions are misguided, which has sent Reed in search of family justice.
J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) was written into having a broken relationship with many people, including his son. Reed didn’t know the extent to which his dad had devolved. But Y&R turned this formerly normal character into a monster as part of what has become an eight-month-long storyline.
Vickie (Amelia Heinle) suffers her latest in a series of shocks when Reed confronts her at the home ‘J.T.V.’ was used to revive their relationship, which had its best moments in the last decade. The result of this encounter sends Leabu’s recently returned character on a fierce search for answers.
Victoria: Did you know that I still see you as my handsome little boy, no matter how hard I try not to?
Reed: Could you please try a little harder?

Meanwhile, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is still reeling from finding what appeared to be J.T.’s clothes in her bed, which spurns another drinking episode. Reed would seem to be the most obvious character who could have planted said props inside the Newman compound, but he genuinely seemed to be unaware of all that’s happened and probably can be ruled out in this regard.
Only a handful of other people possess deep knowledge of the Ranch and its main house rooms. So whoever is actually tormenting Nikki likely isn’t Reed and also can’t be Tessa (Cait Fairbanks), who was preoccupied with being kidnapped by the coverup crew.
Devoted daytime viewers want to believe that Reed’s write-back and Kelly Kruger’s (Mackenzie) latest, coming return must mean that the mystery as to who is gaslighting Nikki and the others will soon be delivered. With that, the climax to this arc will hopefully follow.
Reed, like Y&R’s fans, are owed an explanation as to where J.T.’s body is, or if Luckinbill’s character is somehow alive, meaning the cover-up crew would then not be linked to his death. Possibly, Mr. Hellstrom’s grieving, oldest son will serve as the plot vehicle that wraps this compelling, though now-stretched thriller.
