‘The Young and the Restless’ (YR) Spoilers: What Is J.T. Hellstrom’s Fate?

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for J.T.’s (Thad Luckinbill) death and for obstructing justice on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But is Mr. Hellstrom actually dead?

J.T.’s fate could be that he was, is, and will always be dead. Some may rightfully counter by saying that Y&R has already revealed that this character never died. By recently choosing to show a photo of the actor, apparently in character on the Crimson Lights set, the implication was that J.T. must be alive. Really?

Couldn’t it be possible that Luckinbill returned to the cast to film scenes where he plays an otherworldly edition of himself? Nikki, Vickie (Amelia Heinle), who’s been sentenced to 10 years, and Sharon (Sharon Case), who’s been sentenced to three years, could individually, or collectively be visited by J.T.’s ghost.

Alternatively, this presumed extinct guy could be shown in a series of invented flashbacks, meaning scenes that didn’t previously exist. However, there are at least two more intriguing possibilities Y&R will present to its audience regarding Luckinbill’s now infamous alter ego.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – JT’s Prognosis Is Grim

J.T. could be alive, but in a seriously diminished capacity. With however he survived Nikki’s head-conk and the subsequent burial, Mr. Hellstrom’s resultant reality was radically impacted. Whoever became his savior has been exacting revenge all these past months and will be revealed as the ‘Coverup Crew’s’ actual tormentor.

While variations on the above options could be further explored, there is another seeming obvious choice. Y&R has been signaling that J.T. is alive because he is.

As Victor (Eric Braeden) has been discussing recently and as Joshua Morrow (Nick) began laying the dialogue groundwork for, J.T.’s survival is plausible due to the facts. Who has the motivation, means, and opportunity to have manipulated the Newman’s? And who possesses the type of sleuthing skills that would have been required to have planted evidence and installed a surveillance system inside the walls at the Newman Ranch?

Young And The Restless Sopilers – Thad Luckinbill Returns Just To Be Killed Off Again?

While this tease feels almost too easy, it’s surely possible that Y&R isn’t head-faking viewers and is about to reveal that J.T. survived what happened on April 13, 2018. Whether fans are shown the finale to this extended arc by the one-year anniversary of J.T.’s supposed death is a different question.

Fans of ‘The Young and the Restless’ rightfully express their opinions on a regular basis. So, what is J.T.’s fate?
