Young and The Restless Daniel Goddard Talks His Encounter With Mexican Police On Vacation

The Young and the Restless star, Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby) was in Mexico on vacation with his family recently. He was running late to get to the airport and he was stopped by the police. The talented actor had to think fast on how to get out of the jam and get on the airplane so his family wasn’t stuck another day or more.

Stopped By Mexican Police

According to CBS Soaps In Depth, Goddard admits that he was speeding to the airport as he was running out of time to get to the airport. To add more anxiety to the situation, there was only one flight leaving for Los Angeles that day. He knew better than to break the law and speed, but he really didn’t want to miss his flight either.

Not long after that, the actor was stopped by the police. They told him he would have to come with him, go to court, see a judge, and then pay a fine. Rather than miss the flight, Daniel offered to pay the cop on the spot. He gave him $100 USD and 500 pesos.

He went to pull the money out of a bag, and Goddard remembers the policeman jumping back. He paid him the money and left the scene.

Great Trip

Daniel noted that even though he was stopped by the policeman on his way out of the country, it was a nice trip. They stayed at a gorgeous resort, went cave driving, and he even bribed a police officer on the way out of town.
