In a touching social media post on his Instagram account, he wrote “SHERROD FRANKLIN “FREEDOM” MOORE…. The Man who helped give me life…. My Father… RIP… I wish we had made time to get to know each other… but… we didn’t…………….. I am grateful for you giving me life… I respect your service 🇺🇸……. Then there was silence….. Regardless, I found my way to Stand up and find ME….. “Walk a Mile in a Man’s Shoes”…. I hope you’re FINALLY dancing in your FREEDOM!!!! Peace Out Pops.”

Y&R News- It Has Not Been That Long Since Shemar Moore Lost Another Significant Person In His Life

Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that it has not been that long since Shemar – and Y & R fans – lost another significant person in his life – his television half-brother, Kristoff St. John who played Neil Winters, while Shemar played Malcolm Winters. That loss hit everyone who played against him on the show hard, and Shemar reprised his role as Malcolm to remember Kristoff as Neil Winters. That has to be on the actor’s mind and heart also as he remembers his father in real life. Sherrod Moore leaves behind his widow, Nobuko Moore and three children; Shenon, Kosheno and Romeo Moore in addition to having been the father of Shemar Sheburra Moore.

Young & The Restless News – Shemar Moore Currently Plays Hondo Harrelson On SWAT

Shemar Moore can currently be seen as Hondo Harrelson on the CBS primetime television show “SWAT”, having previously played criminal profiler Derek Frye on the CBS Show “Criminal Minds” from 2005 through 2016, and Malcolm Winters on “The Young and The Restless” from 1994 to 2005. From 2002 to 2003 he was a regular in the television series Birds of Prey, where he played Detective Jesse Reese. In 2017, he became the lead in the television series S.W.A.T. Moore has won eight NAACP Image Awards, and the 2000 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role on The Young and the Restless.

He was also nominated for a People’s Choice Award for his role on Criminal Minds and was the third permanent host of Soul Train from 1999 to 2003, and appeared in the 2001 feature film The Brothers. Moore played the role of Emery Simms in the 2004 film “Motives” alongside Vivica Fox and Golden Brooks, and had a supporting role in the film “Diary of a Mad Black Woman”. He also appeared in the romantic comedy The Seat Filler with Kelly Rowland and Duane Martin.
