Young and the Restless Spoilers: Arturo Attempts Altar Rush – Abby Not Interested

Arturo (Jason Canela) felt guilted into making a rushed marriage proposal on ‘The Young and the Restless’. That is definitely not a reason why any guy should ask a woman to marry him. But Abby (Melissa Ordway) loves the lug and might not learn the underlying reason why Arturo acted on impulse before they celebrate their own nuptials.
Oh, it was a grand gesture for sure. Arturo upstaged Genoa City’s newest diva, Mia (Noemi Gonzalez), at her own vow renewal ceremony. Whether that was nicely played by Arturo remains to be seen.
Abby has a deep history of relationship failures. Her only serious tie was to ‘Stitch’ (Sean Carrigan). That character was written out earlier this decade because Carrigan dropped to a recurring contract and then eventually left Y&R’s cast. So Ordway’s alter ego suddenly decided that she didn’t love her husband, which was a shame because the Abby character had finally matured with the ‘Stabby’ storyline.
Arturo gets on one knee to propose to Abby right after Mia and Rey wed.

Digitally skip to the now, where Abby has had her moments. She was jealous of Lola (Sasha Calle), before being told that person was Arturo’s sister. Miss Newman has also been rightfully suspicious of Mia, who is more of a threat than is realized. Jumping back before either, above item. Arturo was with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). Yes, that was interesting.
Arturo’s current, still-unresolved problem is two-fold. While his feelings for Mia are steeped in the past, his first true love is keeping him as an option in case ‘Ria’ fails. Rey’s (Jordi Vilasuso) coming awareness of this issue could also surely impact matters as well.
Secondly, Arturo hasn’t been fully open with Abby about Mia’s continued advances toward him. The later plot point is the one that could damage his relationship with Abby, or even serve to end it.
Abby has been proceeding cautiously with Arturo. Based on her specific GC experience, that’s smart. But now that marriage has been proposed, Abby truly needs to think beyond her heart, if that’s even possible, to see if Canela’s character is the one.

Please get rid of the Rosales family as they cannot act and degrade the show, especially awful Mia, Rey, Arturo. Lola is okay, as she adds interest and has good work ethic. And fire Summer. Waste of space. Please bring back The veterans let go such as Paul, Kevin, Ravi, Chelsea and most of all Adam but only played by Michael Muhney. Too bad Hillary had to go as good actor. Show is going downhill very fast.
Yes I do like them together BUT, he had better ”put all his cards on the table” with Abby before it all explodes on him , be truthful for once to Abby …. it would take the ”scratch” out of the ”ally cats ” claws , but he is scared to because if Rey found out, then their relationship which is finally on ”a good footing ” will be ruined….once again. Rey needs to know what he is ”married” to. I do wonder if Mia knows that Arturo was once Nikki’s “”boy toy” ??
I do not like the Rosales family . I fear for Abby’s safety . She is such a sweet soul . I think Mia is an alley cat . She wants both those brothers . And will do anything to get and keep them . I worry for Abby . Send the Rosales back to Miami .
do not like abby and arturo together. put abby with devin, get the rosales family out out out. Mia cant act fake. rey might be ok but can be annoying. and arturo slept with nicki ugh, abby run like hell
I think that the Rosales family has brought tackiness to Y & R.
please end the JT storyline and bring back the stable actors that have made Y & R so good for so many years
Yes Arturo & abby are great together.as long as Mia is out of the picture. Rey needs to see Mia in action &dump her sorry ass.send her back to Miami.then he can be happy with sharon.
