Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Billy’s Latest Foolish Move Gives Phyllis More Ammunition

Billy (Jason Thompson) has often been his own worst enemy on ‘The Young and the Restless’. And so he was again in telling Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) where he took the Jabot jet.

Phyllis was able to connect the flight plan dots to Lily (Christel Khalil) and thereby realize that Cane (Daniel Goddard) was the man Vickie (Amelia Heinle) was recently kissing.

Why did you tell her that, Billy?

Phyllis has seemingly fully reverted to her old snake self. Ever since Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) picked up that fireplace poker and conked J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) over the back of the head, Phyllis has believed that Christine (Lauralee Bell) and Paul (Doug Davidson, still with the cast at the time) were going to parlay her link to that freakish scene into jail time.

Lily has already been told about ‘Vane’. Various other characters have come to know as well. So what does it matter that Phyllis has been let into the circle?

People like Phyllis, who feel cornered, store every bit of information obtained for future use. So knowing where Vickie’s current Achilles heel lies could prove useful to the revived ‘Red’ as the potentially never-ending J.T. arc lives.

Nikki got Phyllis to admit that she’d retained the aforementioned poker and claims to have secured it in a storage facility. Phyllis says it was stolen by an unknown person, who then apparently later placed it at the foot of the fireplace at the Ranch. If that proves true Mal Young, can we say soapy?

As for Billy, he thinks he doesn’t have a shot with Vickie. But Vickie just told Sharon that she’s falling for him again. In being particularly vulnerable, due to all that’s happened since J.T. was killed, Heinle’s character is looking for reasons to resist love.

Phyllis disrupted ‘Villy’s’ meal at the Genoa City Athletic Club the other day, which spurned the latest kiss with Cane. Wouldn’t Phyllis use the same tactic in telling Vickie, at some purposeful point, that Billy confided in her about visiting Lily? Of course and when it happens, Vickie’s trust in Billy will fall even further.
