Young And The Restless Spoilers: Courtney Hope Refused Entry At A Daytime Emmys Party

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that as one of the top socialites in Genoa City, and Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) main squeeze (for now), it’s hard to believe that Sally Spectra would ever get refused entry at a top party in the little town. Sadly, it recently happened to her portrayer, Courtney Hope.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Courtney Hope Wanted To Protect Her Daytime Emmy

The 51st Daytime Emmys was a big affair for Hope, as she snagged the Outstanding Supporting Actress award. She talked to Soap Opera Digest (SOD) about how excited she was to get to the after-party and celebrate with costars and colleagues.

When she arrived at the party, she had her Emmy in hand; however, someone mentioned how a statuette was stolen last year. Better to be “safe than sorry”, Courtney took the award back to her hotel room and returned to the party in no time … only to encounter trouble.

YYR Spoilers – Courtney Hope Was Barred From The Party!

Upon entry into the party originally, a stamp was placed on her hand, but, when she was in her hotel room for that brief moment, she washed her hands, and it washed off. Of course, she also switched purses and no longer had a ticket for the party.

As such, when she returned from her hotel room, she had no proof she was invited to the shindig in the first place. When she placed her hand under the scanner, security could not see the stamp, and wouldn’t allow her back in.

She explained that she was just there, but the security team didn’t buy it. Just as she was about to give up and return to her hotel room to get the ticket as “proof”, she had a saving grace.

One person walked by and congratulated her on her Daytime Emmy win – then two others, with one person telling her how amazing her speech was.

She turned to the security guys and said, “Come on guys, really?” and they both finally allowed her to re-enter the party.

While Hope admits it was nerve-wracking at the time, she does close her SOD interview stating that, “Now I can say that what happened to me was really funny.”
