Young And The Restless Spoilers: Elena Dawson (Brytny Sarpy)Elena Dawson (Brytny Sarpy) is an intriguing new character on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Sarpy, a veteran of ‘General Hospital’ (Valerie), debuted on Y&R this week.

Elena was first seen as the nurse who’s helping to care for Ana Hamilton’s (Loren Lott) father, Jet Slade (Gilbert Glenn Brown). Jet is a former late 1990’s and early 2000’s R&B chart-topper, as Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) knew.

Ana’s apparent money issues led Devon to follow his half-sister to a hotel on the outskirts of Genoa City. Elena initially answered the door and Ana entered.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Jet Slade Suffering From A Serious Illness

Devon’s persistence gained him entry and knowledge of his sister’s warm-hearted secret, which was a relief, as he’d wondered if Ana was having financial troubles.

Jet is suffering from a serious illness that requires constant medical care, which explains Elena’s presence and Ana’s donation of a significant amount of money. Devon’s recognition of her compassion, link to Jet, and therefore Elena, also establishes a new storyline path for Devon and likely another character.

Nate Hastings (Brooks Darnell) has mostly been seen at his job in recent months. He’s applying his skills at GC Memorial Hospital but hasn’t developed a personal life.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – A Battle For Elena Dawson’s Heart?

Y&R viewers know he’s still dealing with the loss of a loved one, a girlfriend, never seen on screen, who passed away earlier this decade. A fair assumption puts Jet in the hospital in the near future, with Elena following her patient and coming into contact with Dr. Hastings.

Devon continues to grieve Hilary Curtis’ (Mishael Morgan) passing, but has been making progress. He may not realize it, but he’s ready for a relationship again, as is Nate, who just so happens to live across the hall from Devon’s penthouse apartment.

As Y&R prepares to wrap it’s long-running J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) arc, focus will shift to new stories, including the one that’s just begun to be told. Sarpy’s daytime chops, her appeal being already evident to Devon and soon, to Nate, should spark a friendly battle for this lady’s heart.

      It’s about time Nate has something else to ”do” besides playing Dr. I think they would do well together , better than the brat and her mother . the barracuda …. Devon is just going to have to wait a little while longer on ”love” , it will come along , you can be sure on this show !
