Young and the Restless Spoilers Friday, December 20: Theo Bonds With Jack and Traci, Summer’s Birthday Celebration, and The Newmans’ Holiday Gathering

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, December 20 indicate that Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) bonds with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), Summer Newman (Hunter King) celebrates her birthday, and the Newmans host a holiday gathering.

Theo arrives at the Abbott mansion where he’s greeted by Jack and Traci. They discuss the holiday celebration and traditions their family has. Theo asks where Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Traci responds they didn’t invite him because they thought he’d feel overwhelmed.

Theo gives Jack and Traci some desserts he picked up on the way over. Theo and Jack then discuss business, and Theo says he closed the deal. Jack is happy and feels that in time he and Kyle can manage to co-exist at work.

As the evening progresses, Jack and Traci give Theo his present, a copy of the Abbott family history since he’s part of their family too. Theo admires the decorations on the Christmas tree, then reminisces about how he spend his holidays as a child. Traci says the families have their differences, but passing down traditions is important. They invite Theo to spend Christmas Day with them, but he’s unsure. Traci says he’s more than welcome if he ever changes his mind. The three of them then toast to holiday traditions.

Y&R Spoilers — Kyle & Lola  Abbott Prepare For Christmas

Kyle arrives home with a Christmas tree that he leaves in the hall, and Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) is excited about their first Christmas together. When Lola opens the door to the hallway, she’s stunned by how big the tree is and it appears to be stuck in the tiny hall.

Later the couple manages to get the tree in the door, and Lola bakes cookies. She then tells Kyle about the gifts from Jack and Celeste Rosales (Eva La Rue). The gifts are childhood ornaments along with a new ornament to commemorate Kyle and Lola’s first Christmas together. They put the ornament on the tree and share a kiss. They then make love and afterwards Kyle promises this will be the best Christmas ever.

Young & Restless Spoilers– Summer Newman’s Celebrates Her Birthday

Summer is at Society with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), who loudly wishes her daughter a Happy Birthday. The two have drinks and Phyllis talks about Summer’s career. Summer mentions that she and Kyle are friends, and as for Theo she’s still cordial to him. Phyllis then comments on daggers to the heart and brings up how she thinks about the happier times during past Christmas celebrations.

Summer learns that Phyllis’ friendship with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is over. Phyllis then mentions getting everything she ever wanted. The two continue to chat and Summer mentions she decorated a Christmas tree in Phyllis suite at the Grand Phoenix.

Phyllis mentions extending her stay at the hotel to drive Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) crazy. Phyllis then gives Summer a pair of earrings for her birthday. When Phyllis orders dessert for them, Summer reads a text from Jack who promises a special delivery. Summer and Phyllis eat dessert, and Phyllis says she got the best early Christmas gift she ever received.

Y&R Spoilers– The Newmans Look To The New Year

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) arrive at the ranch to spend time with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Since Victoria’s going to be out of town, they decide to have an early celebration.

The group chats about the kids, and Nick mentions Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) is coming home. Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) comes in as Victoria talks about putting all the haunting things in the past. They talk about the upcoming trip to Telluride, then the discussion turns to Billy’s new consulting job. Victoria is happy that things are coming together for them.

Victor then asks questions about Billy’s job, but he excuses himself to go check on the kids when he receives a message from Amanda Sinclair (Mishel Morgan). Victor follows Billy out of the room. While they’re away, Nick says that he and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) spent time together last night, but Chelsea is still staying at Adam’s place.

Nick says he’s remaining positive about their future. Victor and Billy return, and Victor makes a speech about the family overcoming hard times. He then brings up Victoria and Nick’s success with their jobs. He then says Nikki is the joy of his life and looks forward to their future. Victor and Nikki then dance as a Christmas song plays.
