Young And The Restless Spoilers: Joshua Morrow Updates Fans On His Future As Nick Newman

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that actor Joshua Morrow is a fan favorite on the soap. He joined the cast in 1994 as Nick Newman, and three decades later he still has viewers swooning as the handsome, smart, charming, and caring leading man.

Morrow recently sat down with Soaps.com to talk about his Y&R role, and what the future holds.

Morrow tells Soaps.com that he instantly fell in love with the soap opera schedule that comes with playing Nick Newman.

He adds that it occurred to him early on that he wanted to be a dad, and home for dinners and not be on location. Working at the Y&R enables him to do all those things while doing the job he loves, which is acting.

He adds, “I think a lot of people just assume I’m going to use this as a steppingstone for a primetime show or a big movie career … there is something about getting a daytime show, staying a long time and having that work/life balance that everyone talks about achieving but doesn’t always achieve, that is priceless.

”

Y&R Spoilers – Joshua Morrow Is Staying Put

Still, do fans ever have to worry about Morrow leaving the Y&R? Josh tells Soaps.com that it also became obvious to him pretty early in the acting game that job security was a challenging thing in his line of work.

He remains grateful that the Y&R never has to stress about getting renewed by CBS (in fact, the soap recently was renewed for four additional years, which means viewers will get their daily dose of Genoa City drama until 2027-2028, at the least), which also means, as a staple character, Nick Newman isn’t going anywhere anytime soon!

Morrow adds, “Whether it was me playing him or not was a decision that I and the show had to make with each other.” Thankfully, both parties have agreed that both Nick and Joshua need to stay put!
