Few fans would have predicted that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) would become romantically involved with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But that happened and they were quite the couple. ‘Philly’ didn’t last, but the pairing happened.

Because of the above, it’s no longer possible to make a hard and fast statement about Phyllis and Adam’s history with other characters, or with each other, that then projects a zero percent chance that ‘Phadam’ will happen.

Phyllis and Adam have seemingly been using each other to further their own goals. But Phyllis’ continuing circle around Adam isn’t vulture-like. She isn’t awaiting his demise but instead appears to see him as a uniquely useful partner and maybe more.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phadam Facing A Common Enemy

Phyllis was quick to tell Adam that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) must have been behind the attempt to run him down on Route 7. But it was actually Billy, which Phyllis didn’t know.

Since that time Victor and Adam reached a standoff, if not actually a truce. Adam lost his desire to fight with his father and isn’t currently inclined to start battling again.

So, this common ground seems to no longer exist. Phyllis retains her grudge against Victor for many reasons, with the leading one being the despicable Marco Anaselli (Peter Bergman in a dual role) arc. But Adam seems truthful in begging off the Victor fight, as his father’s faked death truly made an impact as Braeden’s character hoped. And, both men seem to be open to a future repairing of their relationship, or at least a lasting end of their bitterness.

Phyllis has almost always had a man. But she hasn’t had one since Billy.

Adam isn’t someone who she’s been pursuing, even during this period of frenemy friendship, or whatever it is. However, dialogue on more than one occasion has presented Phyllis’ feelings subjectively.

Phyllis might like him, as she just seemed to acknowledge in Las Vegas, Nevada. That also followed her similar tell to Adam at the penthouse just before he took off from Genoa City, Wisconsin. Both instances were telling, as Phyllis is either fully playing Adam, or she’s already fallen for him.

‘Phadam’ would be dynamically entertaining. On that point alone, Y&R seems primed to give this proposed duo a go, even if the pairing is short-lived.

The havoc they could wreak as a combined force would create assured rubber-necking in the audience. The reactions of nearly every connected GC resident would be many times that which was seen at ‘Villy’s’ ceremony at Society.
