Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that newcomer Seth (Brian Gaskill) has officially entered Genoa City, debuting on the Monday, January 8th edition of the soap.

He’s Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) AA sponsor, and as she’s struggling to stay sober, she reached out to him to help bring her off a ledge.

The relationship is platonic, and will likely stay that way; however, as this is the land of daytime drama, it’s hard not to speculate that something scandalous could happen between the two.

Y&R spoilers hint Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) may not approve of their friendship. After all, he found the two at Society together and questioned Nikki about it.

Ms. Newman was straightforward in her response, and while the Moustache wasn’t overly upset about her meeting with her sponsor, fans can’t help but think this could be foreshadowing something for the future.

Seth doesn’t at all seem like Nikki’s type. In fact, there is no chemistry between them, and he looks like a good person looking to support a fellow AA member and keep them on track.

Still, all alcoholics are susceptible to falling off the wagon, so could a crazy night lead to something more?

Still, if she feels as if she’s “not enough” a night off the wagon could spiral into a one-night stand between her and Seth.
