“It appears they’re writing the Chancellor family off Y&R. RIP Chancellor 1973-2023,” she wrote. “I guess with Kay gone, and Jill never written into the stories anymore, they are ending the Chancellor family on this show.”

Y&R fans have feared this day would come. They noticed that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) has been turned into a one-note character who has no storyline of his own. His only identity is tied to his profession as a cop.

Fans hoped that Phillip Chancellor (Thom Bierdz) would return for the 50th anniversary of The Young and the Restless, but that was ruined when his character passed away.
