Blue Bloods Spoilers – Joe Hill Is In Some Serious Trouble

Blue Bloods viewers will recall that Joe, who was a previously unknown son of the late Joe Reagan, was working as a cop on the beat when it came to light that he was a Reagan. When it inadvertently became public that Joe was a Reagan relative, he found he was being treated differently and so he distanced himself from his newfound family. But now, Joe is in serious trouble as he’s been working for the ATF, or Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms administration in an attempt to bring down a bunch of gunrunners.

His boss, ATF Special Agent Rachel Weber, played by Gloria Reuben will also interact with the Reagans as they try to protect Joe. Annabella Sciorra also guest stars as Medical Examiner Faith Marconi. The two episodes are called “The End” and “Justifies The Means”. Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) is the first Reagan family member to discover that Joe is working undercover for the ATF, on a very dangerous operation. Of course, the fears cannot help but come that young Joe may too be killed in the line of duty, and the family bands together to protect him from that kind of a fate in the first of the two back-to-back episodes, “The End”. Danny comes face to face with Joe while their assignments intersect, but it is Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) who fears that Joe’s cover may have been blown, putting him in extreme danger.

Blue Bloods Spoilers – The Reagans Band Together To Protect Joe Hill

Once it is known that Joe has gotten into some trouble on his undercover operation, in the second part, “Justifies The Means”, the Reagans all band together to protect him. The last thing they want is for Joe Hill to die in the line of duty like Joe Reagan, who had been trying to bust “The Blue Templar”. Longtime Blue Bloods viewers will recall that The Blue Templar had been an organization within the NYPD, created as a way to police the police back in the days of the real-life Frank Serpico and the Knapp Commissions which sought to investigate internal corruption in the NYPD in the 1970s.

After many of the original members of The Blue Templar left, however, those who remained became corrupt and would eventually become involved in criminal activity and enterprises, including drug busts where they would kill witnesses and steal the spoils. They also murdered those straight arrow cops who tried to expose them, and that is what happened to Joe Reagan and nearly happened to Jamie. The Reagans banded together after the attempt on Jamie’s life and eventually brought an end to The Blue Templar and found Joe’s murderer, who turned the gun on himself and took his own life. Joe Hill’s situation will prove much too reminiscent of the death of his father, and again the Reagans will band together to save Joe Hills’ life and help take down the gunrunners.
