Dexter: New Blood Spoilers: Dexter’s Son Harrison Gets A New Actor

DexterIn the old Dexter storyline, Dexter hasn’t seen his son since he was a child but, in Dexter: New Blood, that will be changing. In the first episode of the spinoff series, we witness the return of the serial killer’s son Harrison after ten years of estrangement. The pair meet again when Harrison happens to break into Dexter’s home. As it’s been so long since the character has been portrayed on Dexter, the role has been aged a bit. Several young actors have portrayed him since he was introduced in the fourth season of Dexter.

So, who’s the actor that’s playing Harrison now?

Dexter – Harrison’s Portrayal Over The Years

Many actors have played Harrison over the years, with twins Evan George and Luke Andrew Kruntchev portraying the character between seasons 5 and 7. In Season 8 of Dexter, we saw the role of Harrison filled by actor Jadon Wells with Lucas Adams briefly portraying the character as a 17-year-old. But, in Dexter: New Blood, actor Jack Alcott is tapped to fill the role. We’re not given an age for the role, but it seems likely that his age will be close to the same as when Lucas Adams portrayed it. According to Newsweek, Alcott will be filling the role for at least 10 episodes and will eventually go by the alias Randall to accommodate his father’s secret identity.

Dexter – How Is Harrison Brought Back Into The Picture?

Harrison last appeared with Dexter’s girlfriend Hannah who had absconded to Buenos Aires with her child. Dexter had been supposed to meet the two in Buenos Aires and had instead fakes his death and began living a new secret life in New York state. We’re introduced to Jack Alcott when Harrison breaks into Dexter’s home and asks him if he’s Dexter Morgan. Dexter keeps his identity under wraps until the end of the episode, as Harrison boards a bus out of town. It is here where Dexter finally concedes that he is indeed the boy’s father and the two decide to start life together with a new twist.
