The actor has turned up to “Grey’s Anatomy” last month in the third episode of Season 18 and will show up again for the next episodes, Variety confirmed.

Dr. Bartley is a Parkinson’s Disease researcher who is based in Minnesota whom Meredith and Amelia met last month. Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) asked neurosurgeon Dr. Amelia Frances Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) to join her in making the decision when she was asked by the well-funded Minnesota hospital to join them in seeking a cure for Parkinson’s disease.

The character description from ABC about Kai reads: “Confident as hell and able to make even the most detailed and mundane science seem exciting and cool, Kai and Amelia bond over their shared love of medicine and the brain.”
