Yellowstone Spoilers – Stellar Cast Means Big Future For Franchise

This high-caliber cast points to a starry future for the Yellowstone franchise, which is already hugely popular in several demographics, according to Paramount.com. To put it into perspective, Harrison Ford, 79, collected a sum of $65 million for his role in the movie Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

According to Daily Mail, Dame Helen Mirren, who picked up an Oscar for her portrayal of the Queen, isn’t coming cheap either. The British actress earned a whopping $2 million for just five days of shooting for the action flick The Fate of the Furious.

Yellowstone Spoilers – ‘1932’ Continues Yellowstone Narrative In Line With ‘1883’

1932, which is the title of the new series, will follow along the same lines as 1883, as an origin story for its progenitor, Yellowstone. Paramount+, in a statement about the show, said it will “explore the early 20th century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition and the Great Depression all plague the mountain West and the Duttons who call it home.”

As of right now, there are no more details available about the characters Ford and Mirren will be playing. The pair are the latest superstars to join Sheridan’s universe which already successfully released one spinoff, 1883, starring Sam Elliot, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, to name a few.

The Yellowstone series, which first hit the small screen via Paramount in 2018, sees Kevin Costner as John Dutton, the hard-nosed, sixth-generation patriarch of the Dutton family. The series, set on the Yellowstone/Dutton Ranch in the Montana mountains, has since amassed a huge following. The Yellowstone Season 4 Finale reached Game of Thrones numbers at 9.3 million viewers.

The show has reportedly weathered industry-wide declines in viewership over the past few years and is now the highest-rated in cable television. Last month the Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan told Variety how he graduated from playing bit parts here and there to creating the massively popular Neo-Western.
