Law And Order: SVU alum Christopher Meloni’s who fans have been expecting to return to the NBC show will be back on the show any day  now. His return is a tremendous comeback that leads into his spinoff Law & Order: Organized Crime. While getting an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Christopher Meloni said he was not concerned about returning to the Special Victim Unit permanently. When further questioned by the interviewer from Entertainment Weekly, he said that he didn’t want to do it. It felt like going back to the past but that boat had sailed long ago.

Anyway, the idea of playing the role of Elliot Stabler again was attractive but Christopher said he will stay committed to the show only if he partnered with Mariska Hargitay (Olivia Benson) every week. Remember that Christopher Meloni left the Crime and Order: Special Victim Unit series before a new season started in 2011. There was a rumor that he left the show amidst a contract dispute with the National Broadcasting Company (NBC). So, at the time season-13 began to air in 2011, Christopher Meloni’s absence was disclosed in a dialogue following that he had just retired from the New York Police Department (NYPD).

Christopher acknowledged that playing the same role he left abruptly a decade ago was appealing to him for some personal reasons. Nevertheless, he did not hide the truth that he left the show amidst a contract dispute.
