“Law And Order: SVU” And “Chicago Fire” Among Six Shows Renewed At NBC

Oh happy day. NBC has just announced that “Law & Order”, “Law & Order: SVU”, “Law & Order: Organized Crime”, “Chicago Med”, “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago P.D.” has been renewed for another run. Let’s just say that NBC is happy with the money Dick Wolf is making for them to the extent they greenlit all his shows. Here’s to having Wolf – the executive producer of all six of the renewed shows – share more stories with us.

NBC To Continue Four Decade Relationship With Producer and Filmmaker Dick Wolf With Latest Round of Approvals

Nick Wolf is on a roll securing six renewals with NBC. I mean, who would want to bet against the guy?

In a press release shared on Monday, Wolf announced the six-series renewal, saying, “I’m pleased to continue my four-decade relationship with Universal Television and NBC. All six shows being picked up again is the ultimate accolade to our incredible casts, producers and writers.”

Wolf added, “I’d also like to thank our loyal fans who have kept our NBC shows on the air for what will be a cumulative 84 seasons.”

Another person as excited as the fans on such great news is Lisa Katz, president of Scripted Programming at NBCUniversal and Streaming.

“We understand the emotional connection our audience has with these characters and we can’t wait to bring more of their stories to the forefront next season,” said Katz. “A huge thank you to Dick and his amazing team who are the masters of producing incredibly compelling television week after week.”

Even though “Law and Order” has been around for a long time – definitely long enough for the audience to develop fatigue for the series, if ever it would happen – it still continues to be one of NBC’s highest grossing franchises. Its SVU spinoff, starring Mariska Hargitay, was NBC’s 2022 – 2023 top show.

You can catch any of the six shows either on Wednesdays or Thursdays on NBC. In addition to these, Wolf also produces NBC shows “FBI”, “FBI: Most Wanted” and “FBI: International”.
