In fact, during Season 4, the series turned to Ozark’s John Shiban to act as a showrunner. It also happens to garner the lowest ratings when it comes to Dick Wolf’s programs that air on NBC, within both One Chicago and Law & Order franchises.

It’s important to note that Law & Order: SVU has been renewed for next season, as well as all three Chicago franchise dramas.

“Law & Order: Organized Crime” Season 5 – Fans Hope For The Best, Expect The Worst

At the end of the day, Law & Order: Organized Crime has been entertaining, despite backstage shake-ups. The show continues to do crossover storylines with SVU; however, it’s unclear when the next one will take place.

As the network is currently in talks, it shouldn’t be too long before the future of Organized Crime is announced. NBC recently canceled Dick Wolf’s LA Fire and Rescue, as well as Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge; all while renewing “freshman” shows like The Irrational and Found.

As Season 4 is at the mid-mark, the network may be waiting a little longer to see how Organized Crime fairs in the ratings before pressing the button on a renewal or dropping the ax on a cancellation.

“Law & Order” Franchise Still Going Strong

Whether Organized Crime is renewed or canceled, fans can rest assured knowing that the other shows in the Law & Order franchise are going strong.

The OG Law & Order has been renewed for Season 24, despite Sam Waterston leaving, and Law & Order: SVU has been given the green light for its 26th season. There’s clearly a plethora of fans for this franchise, so it’ll be interesting to see what NBC decides to do.
