Law & Order SVU: Mariska Hargitay Teases Elliott And Olivia Kiss

Law & Order SVU actress Mariska Hargitay recently dropped a bomb in a recent interview.  Elliott Stabler and Olivia Benson fans have been begging TPTB for a romance between the pair for nearly a decade. But, according to Mariska Hargitay, they already kissed and we missed it!

Over the past 24 seasons of SVU, there were multiple instances that we thought Elliott and Olivia would hit the sheets or profess their love for each other. 

Stabler has technically been married the majority of their partnership (although there were some seasons when he wasn’t living at home).  Olivia Benson has also had a steady stream of her own love interests when she wasn’t out fighting crime.

There’s no doubt in any Law & Order fan’s mind that Elliott and Olivia are meant to be together.  Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni’s chemistry is undeniable after working together so closely for so many years. 

There have even been rumors over the years that they actors were a couple in real life, just because of the sparks that fly between them on the show.  

Mariska Hargitay Reveals Elliott And Olivia Kiss

Recently, Mariska Hargitay sat down with The Hollywood Reporter to promote upcoming episodes.  It wasn’t long before talk turned to whether or not her character Olivia Benson would ever get together with Elliott Stabler. 

The popular actress dropped a bomb and revealed that the characters already kissed on the show, we just missed it! 

Apparently, Christopher and Mariska filmed a kissing scene when they were working on Season 24 and it was never aired.

While chatting with Hollywood Reporter the actress confessed, “We shot it a couple of different ways.  No matter what I want, Dick Wolf can totally just say, ‘Uh, no.”  The Benson portrayer went on to explain that at the end of the day Dick Wold decided they should go with an “almost kiss.”
