The actress tweeted, “You heard the man … the secret is out. Carol Wilson is BACK on @NCIS_CBS” as she shared the video of Wilmer Valderrama, who also confirmed her return.
Valderrama, who plays the role of Nick Torres on the series, confirmed that Eaton is returning to the show through a recent Instagram post as the cast starts filming.
“Hello everyone. I’m here on the set of NCIS, and I think I might get in trouble for this one, but I’m just gonna pan over and leave this one here,” the actor told the camera. He then revealed the co-star who was sitting right beside him. It was no other than Meredith Eaton, who said hi on camera.

Brian Dietzen, who plays Jimmy Palmer on the show, also shared a photo with Eaton. In the caption, the actor said that there are times he gets to write something for TV or just hang out with friends that he hasn’t seen for a while.
Eaton was last seen as Carol on NCIS back in 2013. There’s been a lot of changes since she was last seen on the show. Back then, Anthony D. “Tony” DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and Abby Abigail Sciuto (Pauley Perette) were still part of the show. But she’ll be seeing familiar faces such as Palmer, Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) and Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll).
NCIS Spoilers – Is Mark Harmon Returning To NCIS As Jethro Gibbs?
Aside from NCIS, Eaton also appeared as Carol Wilson on the show spin-off NCIS: New Orleans. The behind-the-scenes clip shared by Valderrama came after a recent NCIS episode that hinted at the possible return of Mark Harmon.

Eagle-eyed fans spotted the actor’s name in the opening credit sequence, which caused some viewers to think that he’s still part of the show. Having him back on NCIS is a welcome thought for many fans since it was revealed early in season 19 that he’s leaving the show. One fan said that he doesn’t think Mark Harmon is out of NCIS completely until they change the opening credits.
Even the show’s executive producer/showrunner, Steven D. Binder, seemed to be hopeful that Harmon may still return to the show. In a previous Instagram post, he was quoted as saying “never to count Leroy Jethro Gibbs out.”
