NCIS: Kasie Fails To Cope With Recent Traumas

NCIS spoilers and updates tease that Kasie Hines (Diona Reasonover) hasn’t come to terms with the traumatic experiences that she’s gone through recently. The team’s forensic scientist continues to struggle to come to terms with her latest brush with death.

NCIS Spoilers – Kasie Hines Takes Abby Scuito’s Spot

Kasie successfully filled the spot that Abby Scuito (Pauley Perrette) left behind. She easily became a fan-favorite and her portrayer, Reasonover, gelled with the cast right away. Kasie plays an integral role in every NCIS investigation even though she stays within the confines of her laboratory. However, she’s gone through some harrowing experiences and this week’s episode shows that she is still struggling to cope.

NCIS – Failed Robbery And Hostage Taking

The first traumatic experience that Kasie had gone through was before season 17 ended. In the episode called “Blarney,” Kasie and James “Jimmy” Palmer (Brian Dietzen) were taken hostage by three thugs. However, the robbery was unsuccessful after Gibbs stepped in and saved the hostages. Kasie and Jimmy were pretty shaken up by the incident.

In another episode titled “Nearly Departed,” Kasie was taken hostage by a serial killer in the squad room after the latter escaped interrogation. Thanks to Gibbs, Kasie managed to get away unharmed. It seemed like Kasie was doing fine until recent events showed that she wasn’t.

NCIS – Kasie Hines Takes Krav Maga Classes

In the episode called Peacekeeper, Kasie shared that she’s started to work out during her lunch break. Her fellow teammates complimented her for her hard work. However, Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) learns that she’s not just working out but taking Krav Maga classes because she felt scared and powerless because of her recent traumatic experiences.

NCIS – Kasie Hines Attends Private Gun Event

Alden Parker (Gary Cole) and Knight were also surprised when they saw Kasie attending a private gun salon for women, an event that was organized and hosted by a woman whose ex-husband had just been murdered.

NCIS – Kasie Hines Realizes Her Friends Can Protect Her

Kasie doesn’t want to own a gun but in the previous two traumatic events she’s been through, Gibbs was there to save her. But since he’s no longer around. Fans know that Gibbs said goodbye during the early part of season 19. Kasie may feel that she has to do something to protect herself. Eventually, she realizes that she doesn’t need a gun since she has her friends to protect her.
