NCIS: Los Angeles – Season Finale

The show is set to wrap up its 12th season on Sunday, May 23 on CBS. In the last episode titled “A Tale of Two Igors,” fans will know the answer to the question as to whether Nell Jones (Renée Felice Smith) is ready to take on Hetty Lange’s (Linda Hunt) job permanently. Nell has always been vocal about not wanting to take on the role of the team’s operations manager in the absence of Hetty.

In the sneak preview of the season finale, Nell talks to G. Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and vents out her frustration about her current situation. She admits that she doesn’t want Hetty’s position “because it’s Hetty’s.”

“And I’m still not even sure if I want her job,” she added.

“I hate to break it to you but you already have it. You’ve been operations manager for six months now, once you pass the half-year mark it’s kind of your job,” Callen points out.

Will Nell be officially appointed as the new operations manager? Or will Hetty finally return? Keep in mind that showrunner Scott Gemmill teased that “Linda had both her vaccines and came back, and she was so happy to be back.
