Netflix’s Virgin River Season 4 Bringing In New Characters

Although Netflix won’t be dropping their hit romantic drama, Virgin River Season 3 until sometime next year, they are already getting things together for Season 4. That includes a couple of new heartthrobs moving to the Northern California town.

Netflix Is Adding New Characters For Virgin River Season 4

After Virgin River Season 3 surprising cliffhanger, fans of the Netflix series are very happy that the streaming channel confirmed Season 4 and Season 5. Already, they have announced some new characters for Season 4, and they promise to bring more drama to the small town.

According to Deadline, coming in for the new season is Mark Ghanimé (The Bold Type), and Kai Bradbury (Motherland: Fort Salem). Both actors will be Season 4 regulars.

First off is Dr. Cameron Hayek, played by Ghanimé. He is gorgeous and dashing, and a new physician in Virgin River. It is of no surprise that he is going to make an “immediate splash” in town. Those Northern California ladies will come flocking towards him.

As for Kai Bradbury, he is portraying Denny Cutler. Turns out, he is Doc’s (Tim Matheson) long-lost grandson. This is all new information for Denny, but he is willing and able to start connecting with his previously unknown grandfather. However, he has a secret. And it is considered “dark.” He is in Virgin River, so Netflix fans cannot expect anything less!

Netflix’s Virgin River Based On Novels By Robyn Carr

One of the surprises of Virgin River is that the Netflix series isn’t just a show for women who love romance novels. The series, based on the novels of Robyn Carr have been an unexpected hit with men as well as women. The chemistry between Mel and Jack (Alexandra Breckenridge, Martin Henderson), is off the charts. Patient, kind and loyal Mel is considered the “perfect girlfriend.”

In addition, Jack’s a Vet and his struggles, and emotions from his military days are something that draws in an audience that may not normally watch romantic series.

Of course, just some of the drama included a divorce, hurricane, a funeral, at least one new romance and of course, Mel’s cliffhanging news. Are you ready to meet these new Virgin River characters?

How Did Season 3 End?

Virgin River ended with some pretty big cliffhangers. First, Jack proposes to Mel, and she reveals she is pregnant. But, she is not sure if the baby is his or Mark’s. Ricky and Lizzie have troubles again, while Wes waits for Christopher to return home. Don’t forget, Hope is in the midst of life or death surgery. Will she be back for Season 4?

Netflix plans to drop Virgin River Season 4 sometime in 2022.
