The live-action animated series will premiere on Apple TV+ on April 14, 2023. As explained by Dr. Jane, the upcoming show was created as a hope for the future that reminds both children and their parents that the Earth and its beings should be taken care of. It also inspires the viewers signifying that even the smallest change can make a big difference.
The Apple TV+ show blends both CGI and live-action in a seamless pattern created by Sinking Ship Entertainment for better impact. This is the second original Apple TV series from this production company after the show Ghostwriter.
On the upcoming show, J.J. Johnson, an Emmy Award winner, serves as the executive producer. Additionally, Matt Bishop, Christin Simms, Andria Teather, and Blair Powers from the Jane Goodall Institute are also a part of the crew.
For those who don’t know Dr. Jane Goodall, she is an outspoken advocate for the environment. She also explains how climate change has affected endangered species worldwide, including Chimpanzees. Goodall’s foundation and NASA collaborated in the past to obtain satellite imagery of deforestation and its impact on chimpanzees. She also connected with local communities in these areas in Western Africa, informing villagers about the ways to reduce such deteriorating activities and methods for environmental preservation.
Apart from chimpanzees, Goodall has revealed that she loves dogs. The 88-year-old is still quite healthy and dedicates her life to this noble work. However, she does suffer from prosopagnosia, an ailment that makes it problematic for patients to recognize faces, even familiar ones.
