Yellowstone Season 5 fans fear that Kevin Costner (John Dutton), might leave the long-running series soon. But is Cole Hauser (Rip Wheeler), ready to take over the reins?
Sources reportedly claim that he’s thinking big right now. Apparently, he feels that there’s still a lot more that can be done with the story. So, he’s not ready to disappear with the cattle into obscurity forever.
Yellowstone Season 5 Might Be The Last For Kevin Costner
A lot of people only started watching the western drama because of Kevin. And they were not disappointed with the plot’s twists, turns, and epic amount of bloodletting. However, fans always knew that at some stage, Kevin would talk away from his role at Johnn Dutton.
After all, he’s got other projects on his mind. Also, he made an outstanding amount of money from the show, and in Season 4, he reportedly got $1.2 million per episode.
Some Yellowstone critics think that without Kevin, the show would never have made it in the popularity stakes. However, he believes that it’s all about the writers. By his own admission, they can make or break any series. Anyway, it certainly does the rounds that John Dutton might end up off the series if there is to be any more of it. Bear in mind, he already started work on “Horizon,” and he seems noncommittal about his future on the show.
Yellowstone Continues With Cole Hauser At The Helm?
Rip Wheeler is a strong character in the western series, but is his real-life personality strong enough to take over from Kevin? According to Radar Online, a source seems to think that he might get the “top dog” spot as he is close to Kevin. The source told the outlet, “Kevin’s given off plenty of hints that season five will be his last and, if that’s the case, Cole feels he should replace him as top dog.”
It’s not clear how popular Cole is with the rest of the Yellowstone cast. Actually, the inference is that he only got close to Kevin Coster with an eye on the future. The source also said, “Cole doesn’t think the show should end just because Kevin’s not in it.” Apparently, he feels the show’s “still got a lot of steam left in his view, but his pals hope he doesn’t let it all go to his head.”
Spoilers Suggest Rip Wheeler Will Be Away For A Long Time
Spoilers for the show reveal that the Brucellosis in the herd means that the cattle in Yellowstone have to move pastures. In fact, it looks like Rip Wheeler might be the one who goes away for as long as a whole year. In any other series, fans might assume that he’s the one leaving the show, and not Kevin Costner. But, there are always twists and turns in this show.
