Yellowstone Premiere Date Revealed In New Home Channel

Yellowstone spoilers, news, and updates tease that Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 has finally got a premiere date after finding a new home. It will now air on CBS on September 17 at 8:30 p.m. What’s more, the series will start airing from the very beginning instead of just picking up with the last episode from Season 5 part 1.

The Yellowstone series aired on Paramount and streamed on Peacock. However, because of the ongoing writers and actors’ strikes causing a stop in productions, studios need content to fill their time slots. CBS plans to air two episodes back-to-back each week from September 17.

Yellowstone Season 5 – Part 2 Production Still in Limbo

Earlier this year, it was announced that the second part of Yellowstone’s fifth season would be the show’s last. However, fans can look forward to more spin-offs that are already in the pipeline, in addition to its prequels, 1883 and 1923.

The production for part 2 remains on hold, however, according to a recent update from Luke Grimes, who plays Kayce Dutton.

“We have not [started filming the second half of season 5] because of the [WGA] writers strike,” Luke Grimes told People regarding the status of the show.

“I think we would be if it weren’t for that. But that takes precedence over everything. They got to get that all sorted, and then we’ll be getting after it,” he added.

Taylor Sheridan also shared back in June that he paused writing for Yellowstone in support of the ongoing WAG and SAG-AFTRA strike. So, until the issues have been resolved, fans can only expect more delays until we see the latest episodes to cap off the season.

Previously, Yellowstone was projected to return in November for its last few episodes. However, with the ongoing strikes, it remains uncertain when the team will resume production.

Yellowstone Season 5 Spoilers

The second half of the show’s final season will determine the future of John Dutton’s legacy and the fate of the ranch. The first part ended with the Dutton family facing danger, with Kayce having to deal with a lot of things.

His wife Monica (Kelsey Asbille) suffered a miscarriage and his adopted brother Jamie (Wes Bentley) and his sister Beth (Kelly Reilly) continue to feud with each other. Kayce will find himself in the dilemma of choosing between work and family.
