Yellowstone Star Gil Birmingham Reveals His Musical Talent

Yellowstone is a show mostly about a lot of people dying with often out-there twists and plots that keep fans coming back more. Well, Gil Birmingham, who plays the role of Chairman Thomas Rainwater doesn’t get in much musical creativity in the show, but in real life, he loves to play the guitar. For years now, he featured at the Native American Music Awards.

As the head of the Broken Rock Reservation that borders the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, the neighbor of the Dutton family has little opportunity to stum on a guitar. But, it’s unfortunate as he’s particularly talented. Some of his instrumentals get music fans raving about him. When the cast is relaxing between filming, perhaps Gil jams on his guitar. Actually, it would be nice to think that the beloved cast sits around for an evening and enjoy his talent.

The Yellowstone cast apparently has some other talented musicians. In fact, according to Taste of Country, Kevin Costner, (John Dutton), “has a parallel career as a singer-songwriter and frontman of Kevin Costner and Modern West.”  Meanwhile, Ryan Bingham, who “plays singing cowboy Walker on the show, is a real-life Americana and roots country star.” In fact, his talent helped him win “an Oscar, Golden Globe, and Grammy Award.”

Yellowstone – Has A Musical Cast That Could Entertain Almost Anyone

The lineup of musical talent doesn’t end with Walker. In fact, Luke Grimes, (Kayce Dutton), also loves music. Actually, fans might see him drop a Country album this year. Who else brings a talent that we don’t see play out on the show? Well, look no further than Denim Richards, (Colby), who happens to be a professionally trained opera singer.

Yellowstone fans who have not heard Gill play yet might be impressed to note that he gets a lot of compliments in the comments on YouTube. In February last year, one fan wrote, “I’m extremely impressed with his talent and modesty. He plays for the music, not the accolades.”

One surprised fan noted, “had no idea he played. I love it…and him♥️.” While it might be a surprise that he plays the guitar so well, his involvement in all things Native American shouldn’t shock fans. After all, in real life, he’s very active within his community.

Yellowstone – Gil Returns  To The Show In Season 5

Yellowstone returns with Season 5, and in February this year, the news emerged that Gil Birmingham, Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Ryan Bingham, and more familiar faces return. The ever-popular show looks to bring a total of 14 episodes in a two-part season.
