Yellowstone Spinoff 6666 And What We Know About It!

Yellowstone spoilers and updates reveal there is another spinoff on the way.  This one is called 6666. there is certainly more than meets the eye with Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan.The actor, writer, and director recently announced a multi-project deal with Paramount, earlier in 2021 which included two spinoffs from the popular Yellowstone series.

In 1883, which will premiere on Sunday, December 19, we see the Dutton family making their way from Texas across the rugged Midwest with an entire caravan of characters.

The 6666 spinoff series is still in the filming stage, but a lot is already known. Keep reading and we’ll fill you in.

When Was The 6666 Ranch Founded And By Whom?

Taylor Sheridan, who might be remembered as the deputy sheriff David Hale from the FX series Sons of Anarchy just bought the 6666 (The Four Sixes) Ranch in Guthrie Texas and both Yellowstone spinoffs will be built around that.

Samuel “Burk” Burnett, who began learning to cowboy at the early age of 10, from his father in 1870 and, by the age of 19, purchased his own 100 head of cattle and branded them with the number 6666.

In 1900 Burk purchased the 8 Ranch which he later renamed the Four Sixes Ranch or the 6666 Ranch.

The 142,000 acre ranch remained in the Burnett Family as part of a trust until Samuel’s great-granddaughter Anne Windfohr Marion died in early 2020. Per her will, the property was then put up for sale for $347 million.

The Star Telegram confirmed that Taylor Sheridan bought the property in December 2020, saying, “The legacy of the 6666 Ranch and Miss Marion’s vision for the ranch are vital not only to the ranch itself but the rich heritage of ranching in Texas.”

Yellowstone Spoilers – What Will ‘6666’ Be About?

According to the IMDB plot summary, the show will take place on the famed Four Sixes Ranch, “Founded when Comanches still ruled West Texas, no ranch in America is more steeped in the history of the West than the 6666. Still operating as it did two centuries before, and encompassing an entire county, the 6666 is where the rule of law and the laws of nature merge in a place where the most dangerous thing one does is the next thing…The 6666 is synonymous with the merciless endeavor to raise the finest horses and livestock in the world, and ultimately where world-class cowboys are born and made.”

The Yellowstone prequel 1883, premieres in December and the premiere date for 6666 has not yet been released.
