There are many reason why it makes sense for Hayden to return to Port Charles. Hayden and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) found out a few years ago that they are half-sisters. Although they didn’t get along in the beginning, it didn’t take very long for them to form a sisterly bond. Elizabeth isn’t close to her parents, so Hayden was the closest family Elizabeth has had in her life in years. Elizabeth can always use more family in town and she certainly misses her sister, especially since she disappeared so mysteriously!

GH Spoilers – Where Is Hayden Barnes?

Hayden’s last visit to Port Charles was abruptly ended when Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) convinced Hayden to go into hiding. Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) wanted to know why Hayden was interested in a codicil to Helena Cassadine’s (Constance Towers) will. Nikolas faked an attack on Hayden to convince her to leave town, and she did. But Nikolas and Hayden still have a connection that hasn’t been resolved. When Hayden was in town before, it was clear that she was still married to Nikolas!

General Hospital Spoilers – Could Hayden Barnes’ Arrival Invalidate Nikolas Cassadine And Ava Jerome’s Marriage?

If Hayden and Nikolas as still married, then Nikolas’ marriage to Ava Jerome (Maura West). Why no one has mentioned this is confusing unless a divorce happened off screen or Nikolas has reason to believe that Hayden is dead. So Hayden’s arrival could very well mean an end to Ava and Nikolas’ newfound happiness. Ava would certainly not be happy to find out her marriage to Nikolas was invalid all along.

There is another very strong reason that people believe that Hayden may have met will foul play. Violet Barnes (Jophielle Love) is Hayden’s daughter with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), She left Violet with Finn, who had just found out about Violet, right before she disappeared. She loved Violet very much so it seems unlikely she would stay away from her daughter for this long. But if Hayden does turn up, could it put an end to Finn’s wedding plans to Anna DeVane (Finola Hughes)
