Following Daniel Brocklebank’s previous confirmation of a wedding proposal on its way to his character, Billy Mayhew. Gareth Pierce has recently talked about the possibility that it might be Todd Grimshaw, his character, who would get down on one knee.

Gareth told Inside Soap, “… I mean, I have no idea whether that will definitely happen for Todd and Billy, but I think a same-sex wedding would be a wonderful landmark for the show – and I’d love to be part of it.”

Coronation Street Spoilers – Bound To Lose Everything

Although Gareth’s character, the schemer Todd, won back Billy Mayhew after months of plotting, CS fans anticipate his destruction to come.

At the beginning of the year, Coronation Street producer Iain MacLeod caught up with the media and revealed an in-depth preview of the promised huge storylines.

MacLeod hinted at Todd’s downfall: “He will ultimately and temporarily look like he’s got everything he wants. Unfortunately, the lengths that Todd has gone to in order to get what he wants will be the very thing that will be his undoing in the end.”

Fans are yet to find out if Gareth gets his hopes high for his character.

“Todd gets his happy ending but it’s already got a massive fracture in it. In a very explosive, dramatic – again quite thriller-ish – way later in the year, Todd’s machinations will all come to light and he’ll end up losing everything again,” MacLeod added.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Another Character To Return

Gareth told Inside Soap he was asked about Ryan Thomas, portraying as his brother Ryan Grimshaw, when he first joined the series. The actor admitted his hopes for Ryan’s return and said: “… while I don’t know Ryan at all, I think it would be great for Todd and Jason to be reunited.”

Before Gareth Pierce portrayed Todd and the character appeared again after a three-year absence, it was Bruno Langley who played it for 16-long years. But the latter was sacked out from the show when his contract got terminated in 2017 due to accusations of assaulting two women in a nightclub in Manchester.

Before Gareth landed a huge role in the show, he has been featured on many Welsh and English TV Shows. The actor is also a musician who founded the band “Hafaliadau= Equations” together with his friend Matthew Wall.
