According to the Daily News, “The Queen is known as ‘Lilibet’ by close members of the Royal Family, which originated when she was a child and struggled to pronounce Elizabeth, and was used by her father King George VI.” Apparently, the mispronounced name was only used by her father and husband, an intimate term of endearment that now, thanks to Harry and Meghan, the entire world knows about.

The queen has not remarked on her “tribute” but many royal experts questioned if Harry blindsided her with his gesture. Hot on the heels of the negative publicity, Markle “insiders” have come forward to claim that Harry, “discussed honoring his grandmother when he named his child years before he met his future wife,” according to the Mirror.

The newspaper reports that several “well-placed sources,” made sure to put a positive spin on the news with one blabbing that, “Harry has always enjoyed a wonderful bond with his grandmother,” which only highlights the fact that he has made it a hobby to trash her in public for months.

But the source insisted, “They have been incredibly close and as you would imagine have shared some very deep and personal conversations as Harry was growing up, which carried on really until very recently.”
