Billie Eilish met Prince William and Kate Middleton for the first time, during the global premiere night of the latest movie in James Bond franchise “No Time to Die.” The “Bad Guy” singer described the encounter during her recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Billie Eilish, who performed the hit “No Time to Die” theme song, attended the movie’s premiere which took place in London. The movie’s title track was co-written by Billie and Finneas O’Connell and received mostly positive reviews upon release.

The Independent’s Roisin O’Connor called the song “one of the best Bond themes we’ve had in some time”.

The event was also graced by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, both 39, and Prince Charles and Camilla. During the interview, the Grammy award-winning singer, 19, described how she was given a “whole list” of rules to follow when meeting the royals. She said that the couple’s manners were so unexpected that she was compelled not to follow the rules.

“I tried to [follow the rules]. I was planning on it,” she told host Jimmy Kimmel. “They were just so normal. They didn’t make me feel like, ‘Oh, I’m scared. I can’t talk to them.’”

She called the experience of meeting and chatting with the royals “amazing”.

“They were very complimentary. And they had all these questions for me,” she said. “They were just very friendly and funny and sweet. I can’t complain.”
