For Emma Watson, the “Harry Potter” cast feels like family, reported People. And when Emma gathered together with Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint to film the first full trailer for the HBO Max reunion special, Watson got so emotional that she got caught crying.

The trailer for HBO’s special, “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts” gave Watson, Radcliffe, and Grint the opportunity to reunite on the Hogwarts set. And the “Harry Potter” alums also got a chance to reminisce about the original film, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.” Two decades later, that first movie resulted in sequels equally as successful. 

In the trailer, the “Harry Potter” cast chats about how they felt filming the beloved movie series based on J.K. Rowling’s books. Grint utters the words that caused Emma to cry: “It’s a strong bond we all have. We’re family. We’ll always be a part of each other’s lives,” promised Rupert.

HBO Max has unveiled details about the “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return To Hogwarts” special last month. In a statement, the network promised to “tell an enchanting making-of story through all-new in-depth interviews and cast conversations, inviting fans on a magical first-person journey through one of the most beloved film franchises of all time.”

And executive producer Casey Patterson also described the anniversary special as consisting of a magical experience. “There’s magic in the air here with this incredible cast, as they all return home to the original sets of Hogwarts, where they began 20 years ago. The excitement is palpable as they prepare to take their fans on a very special and personal journey, through the making of these incredible films,” added the producer.

Fans hoping to watch and hear “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling offer her own insights in the anniversary special, though, will feel disappointed. But although the 56-year-old author will not provide new content, producers do plan to show Rowling in previously filmed footage throughout the special.
