‘Coronation Street’ Star Kimberly Hart-Simpson Teases A “Spicy” Face-Off With Daisy

“Coronation Street” star Kimberly Hart-Simpson has talked more about her character Nicky’s return and rival Daisy’s upcoming oppositions, teasing that it’s going to be “spicy”.

Next week on the ITV soap, the returnee Nicky Wheatley (Simpson) is expectant to see her ex Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) on the cobbles but gets the news from Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) that he’s already moved down south. The jealous girlfriend also erases Nicky’s voicemails on Daniel’s phone to stop them from meeting each other.

However, Nicky and Daniel are destined to meet at Weatherfield High School where the latter has applied for a job. Daniel is delighted to know she’s staying in the Street for good and invites her for a drink for a proper catch-up.

Later, Daisy is busted when Daniel introduces her to Nicky, and the returnee announces it was the barmaid who told her he’s moved somewhere already.

With Nicky catching out Daisy’s lies, this promises an intense encounter against the villainous character, and actress Kimberly Hart-Simpson teased that Nicky “knows how to put a girl like Daisy in her place.”

The actress warned for intense scenes coming for the two if things get worse, teasing that Nicky is “a match” for Daisy. “I think it is going to be spicy! This is when Corrie is at its very best,” she told Digital Spy.

Nicky’s return on the cobbles will rock Daniel’s current relationship with Daisy, and it’s been only recently that the two got back together after a series of breaking-up and making-up.

Daisy’s portrayer, Charlotte Jordan has already spoken about this storyline in which she revealed that her character is “taken off guard” by Nicky’s arrival and when she learns about their history, she “sees the threat and tries to get rid of them.”

However, Nicky knows this all too well, as actress Simpson described Nicky as “a woman of the world and she has seen every type of person” which makes it easy for her to identify if someone is “threatened” by her.

Although there are thrilling scenes ahead, the actress explained Nicky isn’t back on the cobbles just to waste her time plotting against Daisy.

“She just wants to thank Daniel for helping her and her daughter, this isn’t a great love reunion. She isn’t trying to get him back, it is to say thank you for changing my entire world,” she revealed.

However, the trouble doesn’t stop there because what all Daisy sees “is another woman coming in and trying to take Daniel.”
