Johnny Depp And Former U.K. Lawyer Joelle Rich Are No Longer An Item

Well, that was fast. Just two months after it was confirmed that the Pirates of the Caribbean actor Johnny Depp, and his former lawyer who represented him in his lost 2018 lawsuit Joelle Rich were dating, they broke up.

Yep, you heard right. Depp and Rich are no longer an item. Although the relationship didn’t last long, the reason for the breakup is yet to be known. According to TMZ, Depp and Rich’s relationship was never that deep.

Johnny Depp — Rich Was In Court During Depp’s Defamation Trial

It was revealed that Depp and Rich were already dating back when Depp was going for his defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

It was also reported that during Depp’s defamation trial, Rich made herself available in court to support Depp. At the time, no one knew what was going on because Rich has always sat quietly among the crowd.

Depp won his lawsuit after a Judge in Fairfax County, Virginia sided with Depp and awarded him $15 Million for damages that Heard is to pay for being found guilty of defaming Depp. The judge, later on, reduced the punitive damages to $350,000, according to Fairfax County legal limit, making his total damages less than $10.4 million.

After Depp won his defamation lawsuit, a moment wherein, Rich was found hugging one of Depp’s attorneys Camille Vasquez after the case, was captured on camera. As of then, the idea that Depp and Rich were dating wasn’t known nor was it remotely suspected.

Actually, it was rumored back then that Depp was dating his attorney Camille Vasquez.

When the rumor that Camille and Depp were an item surfaced online, a source revealed via TMZ that there was absolutely no truth in the rumor which had garnered a lot of steam on platforms such as Twitter and TikTok.

According to TMZ, “Fact is … Johnny and Camille look quite comfortable around each other … to the point that they seem to be constantly touching in a somewhat intimate manner. To that point, our sources tell us … everyone on the legal team is buttoned up, but they’ve all gotten very close to their client — it’s become both a professional relationship and a friendship.”

“As for all the smiling and giggling some have noticed between Johnny and Camille, we’re told she finds him funny … and couldn’t help but laugh at some of his antics and/or his sense of humor.

More importantly, our sources tell us Camille is happily taken. She’s dating a British fella who works in real estate — with whom she’s been in a serious relationship for several months.”

Camille on her part was very much disappointed and unhappy with the rumor. Speaking to PEOPLE Camille said, “It’s disappointing that certain outlets kind of ran with it or said that my interactions with Johnny—who is a friend and I’ve known and represented for four-and-a-half years now—that my interactions in any way were inappropriate or unprofessional.”
